Woodford Renewables and SmartTECH is focussed on driving sustainability and developing energy saving initiatives for both commercial and residential projects. Utilising renewable resources, we can help meet the UK's growing need for energy while keeping carbon emissions low and helping the country deal with climate change. By working closely with consultants, engineers or facilities managers, Woodford Renewables & Smart Tech ensures businesses are functioning efficiently to reduce operating costs and deliver maximum return on capital investment. From installing solar PV to optimising HVAC systems, our team can advise on compliance led change and supply payback modelling, making renewable energy accessible and affordable for all projects.

Solar PV

Optimise your HVAC systems by assessing the efficiency of key components.

Intelligent Lighting

Maximise efficiencies and embrace the power of Smart Tech to reduce running costs.

Heat Pumps & Hybrid Solutions

Futureproof and optimise your MEP systems for maximum efficiencies.

Solar PV

Solar photovoltaics (PV) capture the sun's energy and convert it into renewable electricity that can be used in residential or commercial buildings. Solar PV installations comprise several panels, each generating approximately 400W of energy, although we recommend no less than 10 panels in order to maximise a system's energy saving potential. Other considerations include the space available and its orientation - which we can discuss in detail during a site visit. Speak to us today about a free survey.

Smart MEP

Investing in smart technology for residential and commercial buildings can result in significant reductions in energy consumption and running costs. With HVAC systems accounting for a large percentage of operating costs, investing in smart MEP (mechanical, electrical & plumbing) can reduce the workload for facilities managers (FMs), enhance operating efficiencies and also provide improved conditions for a building’s occupants. Woodford can assess your existing MEP, from operating temperatures and system efficiency, to thermal sensors and demand controlled ventilation (DCV). Book a free survey to unlock savings.

Intelligent Lighting

Productivity, wellbeing and operational costs are all closely linked to the quality of a building’s lighting system. By optimising the use of sensors, it is possible to understand occupancy levels, while also harvest natural daylight to deliver recommended lux levels to all parts of a building. Simply switching to LED lighting can create a healthier workspace or home, while also saving up to 80% on energy costs. Plus, by ensuring a lighting system is IoT-enabled, it can harness the power of smart technology to further reduce running costs, increase efficiency and create a sustainable environment. Heat Pumps & Hybrid Solutions

The switch to renewable technology offers a wealth of benefits, including reducing a building’s running costs and carbon emissions. For new build properties, heat pump only installations can be tailored to maximise system efficiencies via low temperature heating circuits. Or for existing buildings, a hybrid system can be created to utilise low emission condensing boilers alongside a heat pump for the best of both worlds. Solar PV installed at Woodford HQ

At Woodford HQ, we have embraced the renewables revolution and are planning a range of energy saving measures. Our first update was the installation of Solar PV on our office roof, which significantly reduces our utility costs. Furthermore, we are upgrading our office lighting systems, which will respond to occupancy levels to ensure we are only using energy when required.

Heat Pump or Hybrid Solution

Heat Cloud is a high tech radiant panel offering efficient heating and cooling performance from low water temperature systems, such as heat pumps, along with low inertia and fast response times. Heat Cloud sits within the building’s sub-structure, behind plasterboard ceilings or walls, without reducing the ceiling height or room dimensions and is invisible to the occupants. The panels can be installed in metal or wooden framed ceilings. The product is simple to install, low weight, low water volume and totally recyclable.
