  1. What attracted you to your current role of Financial Controller? 

The finance department was going through a major transition – systems & staff structure and it was the perfect opportunity to work closely with the Finance Director to shape the future of the department, improve processes and provide monthly reporting to senior management.

  1. What are your biggest challenges in this role?

Ensuring that all the different elements (sales, purchase, subcontractor, payroll) close their ledgers on time and accurately, the production of the monthly management accounts and preparation of the monthly board pack.

  1. What does a typical day look like as a Financial Controller for Woodford? 

No two days are the same. A typical day will be split across three core areas: 1) Dealing with queries from other departments or external stakeholders. 2) Working with team members within the finance department to ensure they have the support to complete their duties. 3) Ensuring that I achieve my month end reporting targets.

  1. When not at work, what are your interests/hobbies?

I am extremely passionate about photography which enables me to let my creative side out.
